Human Resources (HR) refers to the function within an organisation responsible for managing people and their development throughout the employee lifecycle. This includes recruitment and selection, onboarding, training and development, performance management, employee relations, compensation and benefits and compliance with labour laws. The goal of HR is to support both individual and organisational success by creating a productive, fair and motivational work environment that aligns people strategies with business objectives.
